LIFT ROOM
GROUP CLASSES
STRENGTH LAB
Our Strength Lab Sessions have the capacity of 6 people max, as they are centred around a large lift, such as a barbell back squat, and therefore are more technical, slower in pace, but lifts will be heavier. These sessions are perfect if you are looking to refine technique or working towards PBs.
Strength Lab Sessions are also pregnancy and postnatal friendly.
SIGNATURE LIFT
While you won’t lift as heavy in Signature, the dynamic nature of the class means it can feel a little more intense. The pace is also quicker, which means less time to break things down technically. Therefore we suggest you have done some functional training prior to doing this class or at least 4 Strength Labs.
CALISTHENICS
Learn the art of the Beautiful Strength through mastering the bodyweight basics. Expect pull ups, push ups, parallel bars and ring work. Break down form and technique. Suitable for complete beginners and beyond - however we suggest that you are at least comfortable holding your own body weight in both a (modified) plank or on a dead hang from a bar.
STRENGTHCON
When you move fast you need to move well. StrengthCon is our cardiovascular class. We suggest that you know how to move safely, both using weights and body weight, prior to doing this class. We would you do at least 4-6 weeks of regular strength classes before participating - especially if you are a complete beginner, new to training, coming back from injury or have recently had a baby.
RUN CLUB - Every Friday at 8am
Join us for our weekly 5K Run Club — a relaxed, friendly way to move, connect and start your day strong. We’ll head out together from the studio, run up to Crystal Palace Park, loop around the Rusty Laptop, then finish with an optional coffee at Brown & Green.
Beginners to seasoned runners are all welcome — we’ll likely split into two pace groups so no one gets left behind.

REFORMER ROOM
REFORMER PILATES
is a natural extension of our holistic approach to strength training, offering a new dimension to your movement journey. While we’re rooted in functional strength and weight training, Reformer Pilates complements and enhances this foundation, bringing balance to your body and mind.
THE CONCEPT
is designed to build precision, control and importantly, in line with our core values, strength. We prioritise real teaching over just telling, so you can understand how to move your body better - forever.
Our approach to reformer pilates is fully rounded and holistic, underpinning classical pilates with a more traditional approach. All of our classes will include at least one sequence involving props, including small weights, to create synergy between reformer, lift and life.
THE CLASSES
REFORMER FOUNDATIONS (LEVEL 1)
Our Level 1 Foundations class is where strong, smart Reformer practice begins.
Designed to support beginners and anyone wanting to refine their technique, this class focuses on the core principles of Reformer Pilates — control, alignment, breath, and strength. The sequencing is layered and intentional, meaning it’s accessible if you’re new, but can also be adapted to challenge you as you grow.
Whether you’re starting your Reformer journey, returning after time away, or looking to build deeper understanding in your practice, Foundations provides the tools you need to move well — with confidence and clarity.
We ask all clients who are new to Reformer to start here before trying our Signature Reformer classes. As a guide, we suggest attending at least four sessions — but there’s no pressure to move on quickly. Many of our clients choose to stay with Foundations for longer, as it offers a structured, progressive approach that continues to develop strength and skill over time.
This isn’t just a stepping stone — it’s a space to build a strong, lasting foundation for your practice.
SIGNATURE REFORMER (LEVEL 2)
Our Signature Reformer class is for those with an existing Reformer practice. You’ll need to have completed at least four Reformer Foundations classes in studio, or have prior experience from elsewhere. If our teachers feel you’d benefit from further Foundations sessions first, they will advise you.
Expect a dynamic, progressive class focused on building strength, control and precision. You’ll work through more advanced sequences, with variations layered in by your teacher to help you continue developing and challenging your practice.
This is where you refine your technique and take your Reformer training to the next level.
IS SMALLER REALLY BETTER?
In this case. Yes. More often than not group exercise classes are overcrowded and overpopulated. Your coach doesn’t see you, let alone know your name. You never learn anything, so you chase calories burned instead as a sign that it’s been a good work out. You leave feeling more beaten up than built up.
We refuse to do that. Our priority is you and your experience. We want you to feel like a part of this community, not just another face in the crowd. That’s the real boutique experience.
So yes, in this case: smaller is better. This isn’t quantity over quality fitness. This is putting a real premium on your body, your health and your overall well-being fitness.
The Space
Clean. Minimalist. Low Stimulation.
Built Studios is an intimate space, but with everything you could possibly need or dream of. We believe that your fitness environment can be more than just functional. Your space can also feel like somewhere you want to be. Like home. Fitted with the best BlkBox equipment + Merrithew Reformers, we provide premium kit, alongside premium coaches. We won’t sell you short on that.
Women Centred
Our aim is to create a space where women feel safe, strong and excited to train, yet confident to fail (a lift!). Within these four walls, expect to build not just your body, your confidence or your knowledge - but a sense of camaraderie with other likeminded women.
Where are we?
Built Studios is based at Anerley Works, approximately 5 minutes from Anerley station or a 15 minute walk from the Crystal Palace Triangle.
